Investden offers two types of investments

equity investments

Invest in startups or existing business in exchange for an equity stake in the business.

  • You take control of what you want to invest in
  • EIS and SEIS tax breaks, up to 50%, may be available
  • Invest alongside experienced investors
  • Support entrepreneurship, contribute to job creation and capital formation
  • High risk with the potential of a great reward
  • Investments from as low as £50

debt investments

Invest in businesses with more control of your money

  • You take control of who you want to lend money to
  • You receive a steady fixed income
  • Your initial lump sum is repaid at the end of the term
  • Lend to credit worthy counterparties. However, you still need to do your own due diligence.
  • Debt may be secured or unsecured and does carry risk.
  • Investments from as low as £500

Amazing Tax Relief

You may receive up to 50% tax relief on your equity investment!

EIS (Enterprise Investment Scheme) tax relief, of up to 30%, can be claimed on investments up to GBP 1,000,000 in one tax year, giving you a maximum tax reduction in any one year of GBP 300,000 (as long as you have the income tax liability to cover it!). The SEIS (Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme) allows for even better tax relief of 50% on investments up to GBP 100,000 in one tax year in qualifying investments. The real icing on the proverbial investment cake is that capital gains tax relief may also be available if you sell, give away, exchange, or otherwise dispose of your shares. So if you choose the right investment, you can really benefit and grow your portfolio while minimising the overall money at risk and the consequential tax liability.

Managing Your Risk

All investments carry an inherent risk. But InvestDen allows you to take control of your investment, engage in your own due diligence and make the investment that is best for you (which will hopefully deliver gigantic returns!). Be diligent and diversify your investment portfolio.

Investor Protection

It's up to you to make your own investment decisions and assess the risk associated with your investment. However, with any equity investment on InvestDen you become a direct shareholder of the company which you invest in and therefore have certain rights and protections afforded to you by law. With any loan investment, you become a debtor of the obligor and may have certain legal recourse to enforce a non-performing obligation, provided that there are assets you can enforce against. Although we don’t make any recommendations or provide advice, we do try to add to your protection by verifying some basic information contained in both debt and equity pitches before showcasing them on our website.

Investments in any of the opportunities available on InvestDen carry risks. These risk include the potential loss of part or all of your investment, illiquidity, dilution, and lack of dividends. Investments of this type should only be made as part of a diversified portfolio. InvestDen is suitable exclusively for investors who are sufficiently sophisticated to understand these risks and make independent investment decisions. You will only be permitted to invest through InvestDen once you become registered as sufficiently sophisticated.
